More Sophisticated Testing
Today’s more sophisticated
corrosion specifications often call for exposing test specimens to a cyclic
corrosion test (CCT) procedure. Current research indicates that these tests
give more realistic results than conventional salt spray because the relative
corrosion rate, structure and morphology are similar to those seen in actual
atmospheric exposures. CCT procedures typically consist of repetitive cycles
of salt fog, high humidity and dry off at elevated temperature. The microprocessor
controlled Q-Fog can perform these complicated multifunctional tests automatically
in a single chamber.
Faster Results
Although actual outdoor
exposure is the ideal way to test metal products, real-time testing does
not allow us to show immediately if our “improved” formulas are really
an improvement. Q-Lab’s accelerated weathering and corrosion lab can give
us fast answers. With today’s laboratory testers, it is possible to generate
reliable weather ability data.
Third-Party Verification
Q-Lab can act as an unbiased
third party verification to our time-tested metal panels.
